DiveMex is a small, professional, scuba dive school in the center of Playa del Carmen.

This is our diving center.

Though you have numerous options for diving, you will find that when you visit us we are not a scuba diving school like any other. The atmosphere is cozy and personal.

For example, we always dive in small groups of 2-3 divers plus a guide and take experienced divers together in a group and new divers in another group. In order to achieve optimum learning success during diving courses we mostly do one-to-one or two-to-one. This policy fosters intimacy, so by the end of your experience with DiveMex, you will have also made new friends. Thus, our motto: "diving with friends."

For us it is important that everyone takes the maximum diving experience home, this means an immersion in education and experience. After thorough training, dives of 60 minutes or more are the rule rather than the exception.

Scuba diving in Playa del Carmen

The reefs of Playa del Carmen are very different. On the one hand there are the shallow reefs right in front of Playa del Carmen. Here you will find a lot of life and if you take the time for a little foraging in the holes, even a surprise or two. The deeper reefs in the north and south of Playa del Carmen offer a similar amount of life and often a strong current. You can see turtles, stingrays, moray eels, possibly even eagle rays, nurse sharks, sailfish and bull sharks.

Scuba diving in Cozumel

Cozumel is one of the top diving destinations. The reefs of Cozumel can be divided into two categories. Firstly, Cozumel offers reefs with incredible coral formations with canyons, walls, towers, tunnels and caves. On the other hand, there are reefs with an amazing variety of marine life such as turtles, nurse sharks, eagle rays, coral toadfish, stingrays, reef sharks and many more.

Scuba diving in the Cenotes

The cenotes are a fantastic experience and a must for every dive vacation. Diving in the cenotes is cavern diving and not, as many erroneously assume, cave diving. The crucial difference is that caverns have countless openings which allows for an incredible play of sunbeams in the crystal clear water. Each cenote has its own character. Diving in the cenotes is safe, hassle free and a uniquely memorable experience.
